  • Are you an experienced CNC 5-Axis Machinist in the UK? Looking for a chance to enhance your skills and add to your CV whilst travelling abroad?

    We are looking for the right person to join our close-knit team in South Carolina, United States on a temporary, yet flexible, basis. You must have experience in the motorsport, automotive, medical, or aerospace industries and familiarity with programming software such as Hypermill.

    Full relocation support will be given, including work visa applications. Accommodation in South Carolina will be provided. A full driving licence is essential as you will need to commute. Minimum contract of 6 months with options to extend or return to work at our UK facility located in Plymouth, Devon.

    This is a full-time, on-site role working 40 hours a week. You will be employed by our UK company and will receive pension contributions, paid time off, sick leave, etc. accordingly. Typical working hours 8am-5pm, Monday to Friday with some weekend availability as needed.

  • To work as part of a team having responsibility for dispatch and assembly operations, focusing primarily on the outbound distribution of goods to customers both UK based and worldwide and also to other divisions of Hymec.  To be able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines to ensure the customer needs are constantly and consistently met.

    Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

    ·         Able to interpret technical drawings and relate to assembly build / sub-assembly, fastener, helicon requirements or as demanded by the specification.

    ·         To use assembly tools and equipment effectively and safely

    ·         Working in a safe, clean and accurate manner following customer specifications

    ·         Using tooling ranging from helicoil inserting, riveting and pressing

    ·         Competent in the use of required measurement equipment relating to the assembly function.

    ·         Awareness of product quality criteria and storage

    ·         Use of MRP Insight system as required – to conduct booking and stock relocation transactions; Conduct part, drawing and stock look-ups; Works Order look-ups and print-outs; Component / Part issue and stock adjustments.

    ·         Understanding of part mark procedures and set up of printers; part marking as per customer requirements and preservation of finished products.

    ·         Good understanding of special treatments required for products (heat treating, plating, anodising etc.)

    ·         Ability to follow procedures for the part marking, wrap, pack, label and receiving of stock

    ·         Archiving and scanning W/O’s, special certificates

    ·         Familiarity with customer portal and FAIR requirements

    ·         Provide feedback to Quality / Production functions were quality issues are observed

    ·         Maintain a pro-active approach to Health Safety, Environment and Quality; work in a clean, effective manner by setting up stations to increase productivity.

  • Job purpose Summary:

    To be responsible for the ongoing management and business development of engineering quotes to both UK based and world-wide sales.  To ensure the quotes and projects are efficiently maintained and ensure that excellent customer contact is given at all times.

     

    Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

    ·         Provide a high quality service to the Sales Team, Control Planning & Office Manager and Managing Director

    ·         Ensure the timely and accurate delivery of information, which will assist in the smooth running of Hymec

    ·         Identify and assist in the improvement opportunities in both quality and efficiency whilst following all procedures, both operational and technical

    ·         Maintain risk reviews

    ·         Production Engineering-BOM’s/Routings new and updates

    ·         ECN Processing-Control of all customer driven changes

    ·         Project management

    ·         To gain full working knowledge of all the equipment used in Hymec’s manufacturing process

    ·         Provide general and technical support to all internal and external stakeholders as and when required

    ·         Assist planning and production to manage work allocation and performance monitoring to ensure that client expectations are understood and delivered accordingly

  • We are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and optimising CNC machining programs for complex aerospace components, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with strict industry standards. This role involves close collaboration with design, production, and quality teams to support on-time delivery of high-quality parts.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop, prove out, and optimise CNC programs for milling and turning centres (3/4/5-axis).

    • Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and technical specifications to create accurate machining processes.

    • Select appropriate tooling, work-holding, and cutting strategies to achieve required tolerances and surface finishes.

    • Conduct program simulations and first-off inspections to verify compliance with aerospace quality standards.

    • Provide technical support to machine operators during setup and production runs.

    • Drive process improvements to reduce cycle times, increase tool life, and enhance overall efficiency.

    • Maintain accurate documentation including setup sheets, tool lists, and program archives.

    • Ensure all activities meet AS9100 and customer-specific aerospace requirements.

    • Collaborate with design engineers to provide manufacturability feedback.

  • We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quality Inspector to join our Inspection team. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting precision-machined and assembled components to ensure compliance with engineering drawings, customer specifications, and regulatory standards such as AS9100.

    This role is critical to maintaining our commitment to delivering components that meet the rigorous demands of the aerospace industry.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Conduct detailed dimensional and visual inspection of aerospace components using manual and digital inspection tools (micrometers, verniers, height gauges, CMMs, etc.).

    • Verify conformance of parts and assemblies against engineering drawings, CAD models, and technical documentation.

    • Inspect incoming materials, in-process production, and final assemblies in accordance with quality plans.

    • Record inspection results accurately using company quality systems and documentation protocols.

    • Support first-article inspections (FAI) in accordance with AS9102 standards.

    • Identify non-conformances, raise NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), and liaise with production and engineering teams for resolution.

    • Assist in root-cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives to prevent recurrence of defects.

    • Calibrate and maintain inspection equipment in line with quality system requirements.

    • Ensure all work complies with AS9100 and customer-specific aerospace quality requirements.
